Collection Instructions:

1. Fasting.

2. Protect specimen from light.

Precautions: Do not order on patients who have recently received methotrexate or other folic acid antagonist.

Specimen Stability:Serum is stable refrigerated (2° C-8° C) for 2 days, and frozen (≤-20° C) for 1 month. Freeze only once.

Note: Stability of serum obtained with tubes containing separating gel: 24 hours at 2° C-8° C.
