Collection Instructions:

1. Spin down as soon as possible and separate serum from cells.

2. Avoid hemolysis.

8.5-10.4 mg/dL

Critical values (automatic call-back): ≤6.0 mg/dL or ≥13.0 mg/dL

CAUTION: CONTRAST MEDIA SUCH AS OMNISCAN GADODIAMIDE MAY DECREASE CALCIUM RESULTS UP TO 70% AT HIGHER CONCENTRATIONS.

Serum is stable at ambient temperature (15o C-25o C) for 7 days, refrigerated (2o C-8o C) for 3 weeks, and frozen (≤-15o C) for 8 months.
