Kinetic Interaction of Microparticles (KIMS)

Note: 1. This test does not screen for buprenorphine, butorphanol, clonazepam, dextromethorphan, ethanol and other alcohols, fentanyl, hydrocodone, hydromorphone, lorazepam, meperidine, nalbuphine, phencyclidine, propoxyphene, or tramadol.

2. This is a screening procedure only and does not include confirmation testing.

3. Oxazepam (Serax) is a metabolite of the following benzodiazepines: chlordiazepoxide (Librium), chlorazepate (Tranxene), diazepam (Valium, Valrelease), halazepam (Paxipam), medazepam (Nobrium), prazepam (Centrax, Verstran), temazepam (Normison, Restoril).

4. Amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, and opiates are tested as a class. Other components of the class may give a positive result.

Additional Information:

1. Specimen is held for 7 days. If further testing is required, call Meriter Laboratories’ Client Services at 608-417-6529 or 800-236-0465 within 6 days of testing.

2. 30 mL of urine is required for confirmation testing.
