Collection Instructions: Plasma must be free from
hemolysis and cells.
Additional Information: In connection with certain diseases (eg, hepatopathy, diseases of skeletal muscles, malignant tumors), the LDH-4 and LDH-5 isoenzymes portions are increased and unstable in cooled and frozen specimens; this may lead to an incorrect LDH value in specimens drawn from patients suffering from such diseases.
